Right now I have a 6-pack that was the result of 100 crunches per day for the past 4 yeras. However, I'm wondering if I'll be beaten by the guys who have done 200 crunches per day and now have 8-packs versus my 6-pack.

EDIT: Can I get extra credit in my classes if I take off my shirt and flex my abs?

You don’t get a six pack from doing millions of situps, you get one from having a low % body fat. Situps can contribute to said %, but even if you have abs of steel you won’t see them without this requirement. Plus there are better exercises to make your abs pop than sit ups, but keep doing what you’re doing I guess.

this isn’t a good place to ask about this, considering how misinformed most people on the internet in general are about 6 packs and working out.

but if you’re going to listen to anyone here, Cryto covered it pretty well.

Part of it is. I’m ■■■■■■■■ about the extra credit, and the 8-pack thing. I do have a 6-pack, and I think it is, as Cryto said, the result of my low body fat % and situps (ask NuclearPakistan, he knows how I look).

Thanks for the advice!!!

Now seriously how can I make myself more impressive? I should start a project about 6-packs for my senior thesis!!!

keep your bedroom antics off of this family-friendly message board

Anyway I thought 8-packs were basically just a game of the genetic lottery? If you want a ‘more impressive’ 6-pack just do more abdominal/core exercises and keep you bodyfat low. Most people don’t even have 6-packs, even if you count kids who are just really skinny but don’t have much muscle.
