What percent of Harvard Admits are top 5%?

<p>Ok im 34 out of 360 i think. my frosh grades hurt me. anyways, im wondering what percent of students are top 5% at harvard. does anyone know? thank you everyone!</p>

<p>As the FAQ on the Admissions website says, the majority of students who are accepted are in the top 10%-15% of their classes. There is no mention about top 5%.</p>

<p>FWIW: The most recent US News listing has 96% of Harvard's entering frosh in the top 10%.</p>

<p>The 96% figure is a bit misleading. A large number of high schools do not report class rank so those numbers are not reported. In fact some schools accept more than 50% of their students from one of these schools. These are noted with the 5 footnote in the rankings. Examples in the top 10 are Princeton, Duke and Columbia.</p>
