What R my chances? International student with a Canadidan citizenship

Hi i’m a Canadian studying abroad by an American curriculum

and was wondering what my chances would be getting into UBC (Vancouver campus)
(i’m not sure about which major i’m going to take, but i’m interested in social sciences)

Here’s what i have:

UW GPA : 3.88
W GPA : 4.03
SAT1 : 1640 ( retook the test on Jan 23, but the scores r not out yet )
EC : A LOT ( Student court judge, Girl’s volleyball team, Model court competition second prize, High school TKD competition second prize, mid-school students Sunday school volunteer, MUN forum first prize, Saturday English school volunteer, a few TAs, and so on…)
AP : Eng Lit, Calulus BC, Psychology, (maybe) European History

UBC has been my dream college since i was in middle school.
If there’s any other info or tips about UBC admissions, i’d really appreciate it
Thank you

I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in IMO. We have pretty similar stats (only difference is I had a 26 ACT score) and I got accepted to the faculty of arts within two days! The only scenario i could think of you being denied is if you’re personal profile was crappy. Also, I’d try to bring that SAT score to at least 1700 just to be sure.

I agree with what jpala is saying. Your GPA and ECs are great, but your test score right now suggest that your GPA doesn’t accurately reflect what you know. So I’d see what your January scores are and send it in!

I think you have a very good chance. My D is also a Canadian citizen but lives in the US and she was accepted with similar stats.

@jpala17 Thx a lot  but my January sat scores came out, and they were quite disappointing :frowning: so i’ve decided to prep for the act now, and i’m hoping to get a score higher than 25 (like u did) just to be safe

@sungjong Thx for the realistic comment  i received my January sat scores, but i thought they might reflect negatively on me, so i’ve decided to retake the act instead, expecting that hopefully the act might be better than the sat for me

@Momof7thgrader Thank u  i’m glad to hear that i might have a chance, after all
