What’s in your junk drawer?

We have 12 drawers like that in the laundry room. I managed to grab 3 to store cleaning supplies and cat crap. The rest are filled with Mr. B’s “electric $_!%” like this:

We definitely have too many pens and pencils! Lot from kids bedrooms, my mother’s apartment etc. But my tidy-ish photos is AFTER a huge consolidation / sort effort. A whole bunch did get tossed (if bad) and given away (especially the colored pencils, and mechanical pencils). There will be more purging down the road, but gotta say at the time it felt great to deal with the various storehouses around the house and use it as an excuse to organize the old junk drawer.

I need a complete sentence to post, so BB-8?

Edit - I swear I answered before I read the rest of the thread lol.

I have two junk drawers in my kitchen. I just cleaned out and organized the second one last week. Note the label maker front and center! Spare label cartridges are lined up in there also. I love my label maker. It is ancient, but since I can use it without pulling out the instructions I won’t part with it until it dies.

Not at all surprised! I knew you would be clutter free. Because you iron your sheets (a post from like four years ago, but I have always remembered that about you, lol)

Lol, I love that you’re using tape rolls to hold hand sanitizer.

@ChoatieMom , you iron your sheets? I’m thinking we will either be bff’s or enemies for life. I iron nothing. :basket::-1:t5::smiling_imp:

I demand a pic. Otherwise, you are not allowed to be a member of this thread. I want to see colored pencils galore!

Yeah, no way I am posting the junk that lurks in several drawers and a cupboard (oh, and behind the sliding door - that only gets closed when company comes over - on the short side counter). You folks have “junk” drawers that are far too organized for me to allow you to see my secrets!

You thought mine was organized??

Well, let’s not get crazy. The ONLY thing I iron is the “cuff” and first 24" or so of the top sheet so it’s smooth when I roll it back on top of the comforter. If the cuffs of the pillowcases come out of the dryer with deep creases, I’ll touch those up, too, but I do not iron clothes.

ETA: I do iron table linens. They’re the real reason I even own an iron.

Back to junk drawers.

Ironed sheets reminds me when we lived overseas as an expat and had an “auntie”. As we were packing up to come back to the US, she ironed all “the children’s sheets” and told the movers that “their mother wouldn’t do it back in America” she was right !!! They still miss ironed sheets and as young adults they are welcome to do it for themselves now.

I give up… I can’t get the picture to show up

The tape rolls kept the hand sanitizer contained. I thought about moving them before I took the picture, but that would have violated the “rules”.

This has been a great thread! I see sequels or series’ runoff’s in the future.

Drawer? Drawer!? We don’t need no stinking’ drawer! Our junk is too proud to cower away in the dark! It sits proudly out in the open for all to see!

I admit we have a tall cabinet in the garage filled with glue, duct tape, extension cords, et al. And a shelf in the study filled with office supplies and spare batteries.

Didn’t work

We will use our imaginations.

Sadly, yes! At least I do hide it … and I actually do clean it all out every so often. But I swear, it just keeps coming back. There’s a reason I am the bad daughter in law who didn’t want all my in laws’ stuff when they downsized. I have enough of my own that I am slowly trying to deal with!
