what SAT subject tests should I take?

hey, so I’ve only recently made a decision to apply to US colleges (I’m an international student) for a major in some science (not sure which yet, but I want to go to medical school after that). I am pretty sure I should do Biology Molecular, but I don’t know what about the other(s). should I just do Chemistry or maybe Maths as a 3rd one?
also, can I take the tests at the beginning of December for this year application or is it too late?

For an international student wanting to study biological sciences, I recommend either bio OR chem, math and English.

It’s hard to say whether December would be too late. Your scores wouldn’t be available to colleges until sometime in January–which is late in the process. But this fall’s application cycle is going to be different than in past years due to Covid-19 and a number of colleges are going test-optional and relying more heavily on GPA, schedule difficulty, LORs and ECs to evaluate students

As for the possibility of being a pre-med in the US…you’ve been told elsewhere that it’s is extremely difficult to nearly impossible for international students to get an accepted into a US med school. And should an international gain an acceptance, there is no financial aid available for them.

If you’re truly interested in becoming a physician, I’d strongly recommend that you study in the EU where medicine is a 6 year program. (In the US medicines 8 years: 4 years for an undergrad degree and another 4 years for medical school.)

Math, preferably Math2, is usually recommended.

I’ve looked a a majority of schools that recommend Subject Tests while research college options for my D. “Math and a Science” is the most common recommendation I’ve seen.

Each school’s web site should have info on testing deadlines. For January 1 application deadlines, December testing is typical not a problem.
