What School should I be looking to?

<p>Hey guys, I'm just about finished with my high school junior year and I'm trying to research colleges but I have no idea what colleges I should be trying to get into. Can you guys help me out? </p>

<p>I am an asian male living in California if that matters.</p>

<p>Grades:
From freshman to end of junior year I have 4 B's, none as a freshman, 2 in my first semester of sophomore (calculus ab and spanish II H) , 0 in second semester of sophomore, 1 in first semester of junior (english III H), 1 in 2nd semester of junior (spanish III H). I took 5 ap classes and all others are honors up to junior year and I am planning to take 5 more in senior year. I'm about rank 90 or so out of 830 students in my junior year class...I go to a pretty big and competitive school.</p>

<p>The Ap's I have taken so far are Ap European history(4), Ap Calculus AB (5), Ap Calculus BC (?) Ap Chemistry (?) Ap U.S History (?)</p>

<p>The Ap's im planning to take in senior year are Ap Computer Science, Ap Economics, Ap Statistics, Ap English Language, Ap Biology</p>

<p>My unweighted is like 3.8 something weighted im not sure.</p>

<p>SAT's
SAT I = taking the june sat but im taking practice ones and im getting around 2230 (math:770 writing:750 critical reading :710) = average per section
sat II: Mathematics lvl 2: 790 Chemistry:780 U.S. History: 680 (Im planning to retake it again in senior year) Korean: 680 (I suck at korean, i dont think I'm going to take it again)</p>

<p>other stuff (not sure if some of these count but here they are):
Historian of Key club, one of the biggest at our school
Golf team for 3 years 1 jv, 2 varsity
planning to do two internships over the summer in korea (medical and business)
won a writing competition
Eagle Scout
national merit scholar (not sure if I'm semifinalist yet)
have over 500 community service hours helping mentally challenged kids at church, was an altar server in 9th and 10th grade, key club hours
went to mexico like 3 times with my church and made food for the poor</p>

<p>So what colleges should I be applying for? Thanks!</p>

<p>olivias answer isn’t entirely an exaggeration. With your community service hours, eagle scout, academic record, you could really get into some of the ivies. There is no doubt that you can get into any UC you could possibly dream of. Pick your dream school and apply there. you probably have a good shot of getting in.</p>

<p>Or are you just trying to place yourself in the USNWR rankings ? If that is the case:
Ivy – high to high-high reach
Top 20, not including ivy – match to low-reach
Below 20 – match or safety</p>

<p>If there is an academic subject you are interested in enough to pursue outside of school, you should. It will bump up your chances a full notch. Or if you play golf good enough to be a recruited athlete, you can gain admission anywhere. Tiger Woods went to Stanford.</p>

<p>umm, I’m not too concerned with financial aid. It would be nice to have some but I think I can live without it. Geography also doesnt really matter. I want to go to a fairly small-medium private school though. Can anyone give me maybe a list of some small-medium private school thats good for either medical or business based on my info?</p>

<p>Go wherever you want to. Do some research and college visits and see what you like the most. Go onto the collegeboard site and do the find college match search.</p>
