What schools allow you to "piece together" the perfect ACT score?

I mean - my cousin was telling me about this. She was admitted to several elite schools despite not having an all-around perfect or near perfect ACT score. In stead, she took the tests multiple times, and on one time would focus on math and science and the next English and reading. Then, she was allowed to put her highest scores from each subject to form one super composite score.

Does anyone know about this?

all i know is tennessee

While most colleges allow you to "superscore" the SAT, I'm not aware of any that allow you to do it with the ACT which, in my mind, is the only major disadvantage that the ACT has vis a vis the SAT. Otherwise, I think that the ACT is a far better, fairer test than the SAT.

Colleges dont do it with the ACT because the ACT gives you as many chances as you want to get whatever score you want. The only time you have a score is whenever you decide you want to. Since you can take it 100000 times to get a 36 and its the same as a person who took it once an got a 36, colleges dont give THAT much leeway. The SAT, as you are forced to report every detail of your score throughout the past 5 years, are different as they are a test-by-test record

-I really don't think that's the reason.
