What schools are really good for chemistry and/or biochemistry?

I am leaning more towards chemistry, but biochemistry is of interest to me as well.

You could read through “15 Best Value Small Colleges for a Chemistry Degree.” Included schools such as Caltech, Swarthmore, Hamilton, Union, Bowdoin, Colby, Wooster and Barnard would offer you a range of selectivity options.

Those that do not leave you in a lot of debt, since job and career prospects specific to those majors are not that good.

for small colleges, Bates has a great Chemistry Dept and for larger ones, Cornell had a surprisingly tight-knit small group of kids who majored in Chem at Arts & Sciences. As you go up in the major, there are fewer numbers of students. Lots of other majors that are premed drop out after Organic Chem.

Only three (3) LACs made the Top 20 according to this ranking, Pomona, Colgate and Wesleyan:

Maybe it’s just me but for undergraduate studies just about any major university/LAC is really good for chemistry/biochemistry.
