What Schools Could I Get Into? Pre-Med ~ Please Help!

Hey! I plan to major in either Neuroscience, Biology, or Psychology with a Pre-Med track and I want to know what schools I could get into with my stats. Currently, I’m a high school sophomore but I need to start prepping now due to my family’s financial situation.

[ *] Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): Low income, mental health struggle, death in family, job loss, first gen college student, minority, child of immigrants, dad never went to college, mom was a college dropout.
[ *] Strengths: All of my EC’s and volunteer work. I’m a strong writer. Took extreamly difficult classes.
[ *] Weaknesses: My GPA and test scores.

usual advice for people looking at pre-med: look at schools at which you can excel, to get the kind of GPA will get you into med school.

How is an unweighted GPA of 3.75 a weakness?! Only on CC…

? @dadof1? nobody said anything about the OP’s GPA? @newjerseygirl98 suggested that the OP raise her scores to qualify for automatic full tuition colleges, and I suggested that her college GPA would be important in getting into med school- hardly controversial.

@collegemom3717 The OP is Indian, which would fall under Asian. Isn’t Asian actually an over-represented minority?

@newjerseygirl98 - exactly! I missed that she was Indian as well (obviously didn’t read the OP well enough…). Yes, Indian is ORM, not a URM, so now hook there.

St Mary’s Maryland would be a good choice, as would Goucher, Muhlenberg, Susquehanna, Ursinus, Dickinson, Loyola-Maryland, St Bonaventure, SUNY Geneseo.
