What schools do these organizations recruit out of?

Texas Tech, Texas A&M, and slight gag Texas are all decent engineering schools, and none of them cost that much.

but they are top engineering schools! and that's my point exactly. (except Texas Tech)

both Texas A&M and UT Austin are top eng publics, and i was arguing it's not to anyone's disadvantage to attend either of these schools. anyone attending either of these are already attending "top eng universities" out there so they don't fall in the same category as your "third-tier schools" you were concerned with whether they do attract top employers or not...(i don't even know which third-tier colleges we are talking about)

and that was my point exactly. going to top eng universities aren't necessarily more expensive than third-tiers.

MIT costs approximately $45k. Polytechnic, which I consider to be third tier, costs $39k. Stevens Institute of Technology costs $47k. I'd say it's about the same.

My school is about 30k but apparently hands out a lot more money for financial aid because my friend at MIT is paying like twice as much as I do and neither of us is "need" based.
