Hi! I’m really interested in studying philosophy in college. What schools have good philosophy majors? (preferably with a fairly open curriculum)

There are many colleges with good philosophy majors. It would be easier to narrow down some choices if you expressed some preferences (small, medium, large? rural, suburban, urban?) and also what kind of school you are looking for (very selective, moderately selective, not very selective) or shared some limited stats.

In terms of highly selective colleges, consider Grinnell, Smith (if female), Hamilton, Amherst, Brown.

For highly selective non-LACs, Princeton, Stanford, and NYU.

If you want a big school, Pitt has a good philosophy program. Bye, my username has no connection to the school, it’s just where I live. However, pitt does have a lot of gen Ed requirements
