Literally laughed out loud. You may be on to something about these people that volunteer erratically . I think that chibi is unusual in the sense that s/he actually cares about what s/he volunteers in. Lets be frank here- we’ve all seen the EC lists for these people- they are literally laundry lists of unassociated “stuff”.

Yes it matters a lot. There are 1-2 colleges (I don’t remember them off the top of my head) that require you to do something like like 4-5 extra lower-division classes (in other words, they don’t take the igetc as fulfilling your lower-division work).

Would definitely take you up on that- as long as you don’t talk about my major, ha.

You’d be right to generalize UCSD as anti-social. One of the people who serves as an adcom to the school of medicine pretty much stated this:

“here at ucsd, we don’t do social to well…”

also, note the qualifier, “met”. I’ve never met anyone that wasn’t an asshat (ucla students or aspiring). We’ve never met, but you just might be the exception to the rule… my assumption still stands true for 99% of the rest.

Oh, and that list was hardly a rivalry thing. It smacks of smugness.

Lets see, its pretty anti-social, but there are a few people who aren’t. No transfer student housing, so if you go here, try and line up some housing as soon as possible. Sports program is decent, but there’s a general lack of enthusiasm about it among the student body.

6 college system has very little impact on transfers actually. Just pick the college that’ll require the least of you when you transfer, that way you’ll finish faster. (Muir is the easiest, but the hardest to get into)
