What schools should I look at?

I'm currently a junior at a very competitive high school. I have a 3.8 GPA (unweighted, my high school doesn't weigh GPAs) and a 29 ACT (30 super-score) Also, I'm in the top 20% of my class.

ECs:
Model UN
School play
Spanish Club
Member of Duke TIP Program
Beta Club
Rhotary Club
philosophy Club
Have done a lot of volunteer work with my church youth group
Have had a job in the summer working for a credible company (scanning documents).

I'm also a racial minority (FWIW, don't know if that helps or not). I'm interested in going to law school afterward, and will likely major in business. I am considering doing early decision as well.

Any help would be much appreciated!

What can your family afford?
Have you checked into figuring out your EFC (the expected family contribution) at one of the online calculators, like Finaid or Collegeboard website.

If you are going to law school, you must take on as little debt as possible.

What is your state of residence? Any chance you are interested in that low-in-state tuition to save money for law school?

Money isn’t too big of an issue, and yes I am considering the state school. However, would that lower my chances of getting into an elite law school?

What geographical region would you prefer to go to school in? Are you looking for a small school/LAC, mid-sized, or large? Do you want to be in or near a city, or in a rural area?

I would prefer to go to school near a city, but if I find the right fit in a rural area I’d be fine with that. I’d also prefer a mid-sized school, but again, if a prestigious school that is bigger would accept me: I’d be fine with a bigger school.

And what about geographical region/state? There are so many schools that fit your criteria, so if you can narrow it down by certain factors, it’d be easier to give you suggestions.

I would say somewhere in the midwest.

Law schools, for the most part, don’t care where your UG came from. They care about grades and LSATs. I would definitely have your state flagship on the list. For some smaller schools, U Dayton, Depaul.
