What selective schools don't require a supp essay?

Does anyone know of selective (however you define it!) schools that don't require essays? For example, we were thrilled to discover that Dartmouth and Washington University of St Louis don't. Are there others? Thanks!

I would wonder if kids who do not submit an essay get in at the same rate as applicants who do.
I would be concerned that a school trying to increase their total application numbers to appear more selective would make it very easy to apply (like not requiring an essay) and then reject candidates who were not serious about the school (like those who do not bother to write an optional essay).

Dartmouh and WashU don’t have an optional essay either.

Although WashU does not require a supplemental essay, their scholarship applications require quite a few essays.

Harvard’s supplement is basically checking a bunch of boxes, with only an optional essay.

I know some that have the short answer “Why X” questions, but no full essays if that’s what you’re looking for

I don’t think Duke requires supplemental essays.

Harvard, Dartmouth, Duke, Middlebury from what I’ve seen

I believe American U. in DC just requires the common app essay. American has become much more selective in admissions in the last few years.

Duke has an optional supplemental essay about why you want to go to Duke. Vanderbilt does not have a supplemental essay
