do people seriously wear sandals?

With sandals there’s the temptation to wear socks because it is more comfy. But if you wear socks and sandals, no one would want to be seen with u.

combat boots or sneakers. Depends on my mood.

I’d say the majority of people at Stanford wear sandals in the spring. I wear them almost year round though since I’m from Hawaii.

Converse. I have eight pairs because the colors and patterns are so cute.

Usually boots with a small heel, or flats.

whatever’s 80%+ off and fits me.

Why would you feel the need to judge people for wearing Converse? Maybe it’s comfortable… I like them equally as much as my Sperry’s and my sandals, so I wear each pair whenever I feel like wearing those, and don’t when I don’t. I don’t take into account how other people will perceive my feet.

I switch between Airmaxes, Lebrons, and Jordans because I’m really cool.

Converses are kind of vanilla. They don’t look bad, but everyone else is wearing them too.

I like Converse because I just like simple shoes. I can’t wear flats because I need arch support (at least a little) and they make my feet look even more gigantic (I wear a ten). I have extremely weak ankles so I can’t wear anything with a heel. Unfortunately, I don’t live someplace where I can wear flipflops all year round. I prefer shoes with a back if it’s chilly. So… that leaves me with remarkably few options. I have never owned an actual pair of Converse, but the J.C. Penney knock-offs are cuter and cheaper (I only like solid colors). In the summer I wear flip flops. I have Rainbow knock-offs right now but am going to invest in some real Rainbows for Stanford.

Does anybody besides me wear Adidas Sambas?

Uncomfortable? The point of sneakers is to be comfortable! And no, it’s not frowned upon to wear sneakers…pretty much everyone does.

I’m a girl, and when it’s warm, I wear sandals/flip flops. When it gets cooler, flats all the way. And when it’s cold/snowing, I wear my Bear Paw boots. I personally don’t like sneakers because I just don’t like wearing shoes hence the sandals and flats because there’s less actual show. And boots are just a necessity.

topsiders. every guy needs a pair, they look so fresh

FYI: More often than not, Converse sneakers make people’s feet look bigger/longer. I’m also surprised you get support from Converse shoes. But nothing wrong with girls wearing Converse. Just don’t wear Uggs. lol

Anyways, sneakers all the way! Anything that is comfortable and looks decent works for me.

My feet don’t look long pretty much ever - I’m 5’7", so it’s not like they’re outrageously large for my body. But, they are a little wide and flats make them look outrageously wide. There’s a lot more support in Converse than there is in flats - and my options for a reasonable, casual shoe are limited.

I wouldn’t say that Converse have a lot more support than flats. More, yes…but support in Converse is limited.

We must be trying on different flats.
