Hi guys,

The deadline to sign up for ap exams at my school is friday. I was going to take AP Lit, AP Macro and AP US Gov and Politics (Take classes for all three subjects)...my question is can i self study with the PR books that i ordered and manage a passing grade on Micro and Comparative Gov if i started studying about now (a little less than a month left for AP's)? Or should i just focus on macro and us gov pol? I'm doing REAALY well in Macro and Gov and am very confident of getting at least a 4...we just finished up classical and keynesian econ...yuck what a chap....and extended ad-as...wowsers i only got 35/40 on our last test >_<

I'm in AP Comparative Government right now and it's really quite a lot of information. If you're up to memorizing/learning about all the coups Nigeria had (and there were a lot) and learning all about the geography of China and how the Long March worked, and you have spring break or something between now and AP Weeks, go for it. Otherwise, I wouldn't. However, we may also be being taught way too much information. The basic stuff for Comp. Gov. is easy. It's learning all the little details that will help you get a 9 on your essays/5 on the test that's a bit more tricky.

I see.....hmm......well I do have spring break time for mainly studying im not doing much...i'll have to see how many credits i get from college if its worth the studying time.....us gov and pol. is hard enough (a LOT of info) as is...

I have no idea about US gov and pol (although I'm self-studying it...). If you do have spring break, you have a greater chance of being able to do it. Good luck on whatever ap tests you do take in the end!

Looks like were at opp ends of the spectrum (self studying comparative)...goodluck to u too annie!

AP US government will not complement AP Comparative government in any way. I do not think that you should do that. However, I think you could do AP Micro having taken AP macro...but definitely not AP Comparative based off of AP US
