I was a freshman at a liberal arts school in Ohio but I got really depressed and had to leave and I don’t want to go back. I had to finish my classes from home.
I think I’m going to take a summer class or two at a local state school and then maybe do a semester there. I applied to Smith (WL), Wellesley (rejected) and Bryn Mawr (not sure yet).
I don’t know what to do/ where to apply. My GPA is bad, and I had to medically withdraw from half my classes in the spring semester. I have Bs and one C.
I live in the Carolinas and I think I might want to stay close (Davidson maybe?) . I want to be an anthropology major, unless I go to Wellesley or Bryn Mawr or one of the other schools that has a Peace and Conflict studies major.
I expect to get good grades at the school I’m attending this summer. I had good ECs in college, I ASMed two shows, stagemanaged two and was in one, volunteered for admissions, volunteered for the women’s center and did Russian club. This summer I’m working part-time and babysitting.
I want to go to a women’s college ideally, but I’m okay with not. My high school stats were pretty good- got into Kenyon, Bryn Mawr, Boston U w/ Presidential Scholarship, 32 ACT 4.5 GPA.
I’m thinking of applying to Wellesley, Barnard, Bryn Mawr, Georgetown, and Davidson. I’ve also heard good things about transfers at Vanderbilt and UChicago. Distance might be a consideration, but I think if I’m happy at my school it won’t matter.
What should I do? I’m confused and could use help. Thank you.
Also my EFC is 0, but I could attend a school if my costs were below 15k.
