Basically, I submitted an inquiry to a school with rolling admissions right after I got my decisions on M10 (basically, I didn’t think and I was upset) and they just sent me an email about the school and asking me to schedule an interview. In the time in between these two things, I forgot about the inquiry and accepted an offer from my local day school. How am I supposed to respond? I want to apply to that school next year since it’s so awesome, but I can’t apply this year. I don’t want to burn bridges.
In conclusion, please wait before doing anything right after getting your decisions please?
Respond to their email thoughtfully. Explain that you have already committed to a local day school, and if you want you can also tell them your reasons for making that choice. Mention that you really like the BS and that you are looking forward to applying next year. They will be understanding. I really wouldn’t worry too much, as long as you are levelheaded in explaining the situation there shouldn’t be any issues.

Alright, thanks, that’s really helpful!
Agree with above.
No big deal to inquire and then get another offer you accept.
Just be thoughtful and let them know you’ve decided to consider boarding school for next year instead and look forward to connecting then. (If that is true I mean.)
Peoples’ lives change and boarding school gets pushed off a year all the time. Really no biggie.
