~Thanks for Reading

BUMP!!!

could someone help me?! i'm sure one of the 60 views could have

No one has a "good chance of getting into Harvard." Anyway, no one's answering your question b/c it's a little unclear. More details'd help.

What i meant was...
i'm Involved in a travelling soccer team, chess club, Tae kwon do, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas to furtherly increase my chances, as in other EC's ect. . Also, does anyone have an idea how the summer courses thing works and tell me the pre-requisites for those students who go into gollege for 11th and 10th grade.

sheeeesh, take a breath. Why do you want to grow up so quickly?

Yes, summer school courses count for credit if you take them through your high school. Many schools also take credits from community colleges, so check with your counselor.

Places like Harv are looking for something that really makes you special. So if you can start something now that you're passionate about and show commitment to it, that means something. But generally, they prefer publishing a book, nation's best violin player, etc. caliber, which not everyone is capable of.

Start taking SATs junior year, and SAT IIs around the same time you take the corresponding AP test. Start your essays the summer before your senior year.

And try to have some fun, because it gets harder. Colleges can tell when your whole life revolves around looking good on a college application.

thank you kellmill, would winning chess and tae kwon do competitions be of that thing. What other things like that would they look for, i mean accomplishments of the nature you mentioned.

OK that question didn't turn out well, what about county and town competitions.

bump bump bump bump bump
