I took the SAT for the 2nd time in June and scored a 2240 (800M, 740CR, 700W). I still need to take the Math IIC subject test. So, should I try to take it a third time to improve my score in the W or CR sections so that my superscore will be higher? or is it good enough as it is?

I am aiming to go to Duke or Upenn. I am aiming for full ride scholarships so please take these facts into consideration.

Are you going to be a senior next year? What other subject tests have you taken (if any)? We need a bit more information. Also, SAT scores alone, as you probably know, won’t get you into Upenn/Duke

If you are aiming for a full-ride that’s merit-based, you are going to have a lot of trouble no matter what your SAT is. Personally I would take the subject tests in October, then maybe re-take the SAT again in November if you’re convinced that you want to re-take. But honestly, I think that your scores are perfectly good enough.

I will be a senior next year. I have taken Chem 800, and USH 800. I do know SAT scores alone won’t be enough, but I do want to know where I stand in this specific area of my application

Thanks Sirensong, any other opinions?

If you have the capability to do better, go for it. If not, save your energy for perfecting your college apps/essays
