I’ve changed my mind at least fifteen times in the last year alone but basically I’m a rising senior and some of the schools I’m looking to apply to require an application for a specific major and so I need to narrow down my choices a little. Some of the ones I’m considering are chemical engineering, biological engineering (or biology/chem/biochem), actuarial science, statistics, or possibly business. I’m also really interested in English and writing but my parents are concerned about my earning potential after graduation if that’s what I study. So yeah, it’s kind of all over the place. I’m a pretty well-rounded student and I don’t have a particular ‘calling’ so researching majors has just been a confusing and frustrating process. Any advice and/or general information about those specific majors or any others related to them would be great! Thank you!
If you like writing and English probably business. If you like math, statistics. If you like science, do science engineering. There is math in business but it’s not only centered in math. Networking relationships etc. Are key, and being eloquent helps
It’s your life. If you love English, go for it! You can always double major in a secondary interest. There are millionaire English majors out there.
