What kind of music do you want to make?
I came from an uneducated background. Neither of my parents graduated from high school. I majored in Comparative Literature. Both of my parents just assumed I would get an education certificate and teach. I did not. I went to work for a law firm library. Then I got a Master’s to be a librarian.
Majoring in Business could be one option. You will probably need some math-related classes though, and probably Statistics.
Or you could major in whatever you really like, and think outside the box when it comes times for applying to jobs. Your career counseling center at college can help with this.
You have the wrong attitude towards a major. ANY major can yield a nice paying, good job, or no job. To be the most employable you need to like what you do. Therefore you need to decide what you like to do, then major in that and do well so you can be employed with that skill set. Definitely visit your college career center. There are interest and aptitude tests you can take to help you discover fields to consider.
Look at proposed majors on your (or any) college’s website. Look at the required/recommended courses for the majors. You will need to meet science breadth requirements (and math) regardless of your major.
