I don't know what to major in…

The main problem is that I like multiple different subjects and I can see myself doing something in each. I love history, science (esp. chemistry), math (esp. algebra), and French. I’ve been thinking of doing something in science but when looking for careers I’m wayyy too picky. I like working with kids too.
For example:

  • I want a job that pays well ($100,000+)- I know money isn’t everything but I grew up poor and I never want to find myself there again
  • I want a job that is extremely rewarding (IDEALLY: helping kids/people that are less fortunate, refugees, orphans, etc)- problem is the pay isn’t best
  • I want a job where it isn’t the same exact thing every single day
  • I reallyyyy don’t want to go through 12 years of school (for me, 10 years tops)- but this is not 100% required
  • I don’t want to feel uncomfortable
  • I know you might be thinking: pediatrician
Here’s the ONLY petty reason why I’m hesitant to pursue it:
  • I know this dumb and this is probably just my teenage brain, but you have to touch kids (including teens) “up there” and “down there” for yearly checkups- I REALLYY don’t want to touch a 17 year old grown boy down there

If you like languages you can try and become an interpreter. I know some people who made a fortune doing that- you just have to focus on a lot of languages. Not a lot of helping people, but the pay is good and you will not feel uncomfortable. Not very science related, but a viable option.
