So I’ve been thinking about it a lot and it’s time for me to start applying to college and I’m still not sure! I’m trying to decide between engineering, finance, or healthcare management. In engineering, I’m trying to decide between biomedical engineering, computer science, or industrial engineering. I’m not the most comfortable with math or science but I don’t mind them. Definitely don’t have much of a passion for them, but I am really, really interested in engineering and building tangible objects and improving the quality and standards of living. For finance, I do like that because it is a less rigorous curriculum (which, yes, I know I shouldn’t go based off of that) but I am also really interested in stocks, values and trading as well as managing money. Healthcare management is just a random interest of mine that I think sounds cool. Haven’t given it much thought though.
I was thinking about industrial engineering because it combines both business and engineering, but I am really not TOO interested in that. I am, however, still interested and would like to keep that as an option. Biomedical engineering would be my favorite branch of engineering.
Really, I just have a list of inventions I’d like to create, and I’d love to know how to make them by having an engineering background. That would just be a hobby of mine, but I think it’d be cool to work as an engineer and learn how to create and implement ideas. Really I’d be completely fine with working in business as well. As long as it’s not a very repetitive job.
Should I do a major in engineering with a minor in business or a major in finance with a minor in engineering?
Thanks guys!
