So I’ve been a varsity member of the swim team since my sophomore year but my school isn’t really good at sports. I go to a catholic school so we compete against other catholic schools but our league isn’t really good and I don’t know what I should write about swimming in the activities section. I swim for at least 8 hours a week and practices are at 6AM before school but that’s about all I can think to mention since my team hasn’t accomplished much lol
I forgot to mention that in our league we have an A champ and B champ. In soph year I wasn’t fast enough for A champs so I competed in B champs and won 1st in the 100m, 3rd in the 50m, and 3rd in the 200 IM relay. Once I moved to A champs in junior year I didnt win any medals. Should I mention these awards even though they were from sophomore year? (I should also mention that my times weren’t very good compared to most swimmers they were just for my league since its definitely not that competitive)
Colleges don’t care how good you are unless they are recruiting you. It’s about the dedication effort and team work displayed. The leadership you’ve shown in the face of adversity. Which includes keeping a team up when feeling down about the results. Sticking with it for the joy of it despite not winning. Etc
