Right now I’m taking AP stats, AP Earth Science, AP Lang, and AP US history as well as Honors Engineering, and next year I want to take AP Calc (AB and BC), AP physics(1 and 2), AP Comp Science, a college engineering class, Honors English, and Current Events.
The thing is, I know for a fact my schedule will be very tough as all of the AP classes are some of the hardest ones in my school. AP physics is considered the hardest as very few people can get an A, AP calc turns people who are used to math being easy to struggling with it, and almost no one got an A in the second half of AP computer science. I don’t know about my Engineering class but English and Current Events are very easy classes that I’m only taking because a history and English class are required to graduate.
I think I can get an A in Calc because I am about as good at math as my friends that have an A in Calc right now. They have low As, but they also don’t do the homework which is supposed to be really helpful for the test. Plus my friend wants to practice Calculus so he can prepare for Calc 3 in a few years, he currently has a 98% in the class and offered to tutor me.
AP physics is going to be very difficult and I don’ think I’ll be able to get an A in the class because the tests are supposed to be quite different from the notes. From what I heard AP comp science is hard 2nd semester but generally 1st semester is simpler.
I truly want to take the AP classes because I know they will help me, but right now my AP classes have me overworked and burned out. I have 89% in 2 of my classes and feel anxious all the time and next year would only be worse. Do you think I should take this schedule or remove something to relax a little bit more?
