Every time I hear someone mention a sport its track. Weird, because its really a small sport in the area where I live. I play football and basketball btw.

Track for me; it's a relatively big sport in the area where I live.

tennis.

which also happens to be almost my only extracurricular. I wish I had started track as well in freshman year, but now I'm a senior and all I have are Tennis (3 years - tried out but didn't make it past the second cuts freshman year), a year of political round table, a year of newspaper, and a year of Deca. Doesn't help that I only went to about 3 PRT meetings before deciding that political discourse is best kept to internet forums and social news websites rather than inside the halls of a school where about 1% of the student body actually knows what's going on, nor that I never did any activities for Deca besides fundraising and being in Marketing (a requirement to be in Deca, which unfortunately I will not meet this year because my schedule is almost all AP classes).

Cross Country and track. Wished I did badminton, haha.

People on CC generally do track/cross country because there's no (or few) cuts during try-outs (if there are even try-outs) and just about anyone can do it (and don't get feisty, fellow trackers, because you know it's true. Just about everyone knows how to run, and those who can't can do field events).

Track's popular here because track teams take a lot of people and have a lot of different events. I speak as a 400 and 1500-runner whose goal is generally to not finish last at meets. :)

Just about everyone can run, but very few can run at a high level.

hpa10, you're right about that. When I look at the top 5 in my school, all I see is that they won the genetic jackpot, but I must give them credit; they do put an outrageous amount of time/miles into it.

^In most high schools, not all runners need to. Like I said, most HS track teams have few or no cuts.

Basketball for frosh-soph and baseball. No one plays baseball on CC, I feel so lonely among all the runners and tennis players.

Swimming(my main sport)
Water Polo
Tennis
...does anyone on CC play water polo??? I've never seen anyone mention it.=[

Swimming! I've made state once, but I'm not even close to being top on my team.

Varsity Baseball and Basketball for my senior year. I've been on Var Baseball since my freshman year, but this will be my first year on the varsity squad for basketball (it's a very good team).

What??? I though that only sport CCers play are chess, archery, occasionally jeopardy???

I never did sports but I considered track/cross-country a few times. The former because, as was said, just about anyone can run. The latter because my AP US teacher was the coach and I loved her. In the end though I really just didn't have the patience/dedication to do a sport. Plus I really just don't like athletics.

I'd like to get into archery at my college though.

Our school sport, boxball, the only sport I can actually play. Mainly because you slap the ball away in any direction when it comes toward you. I suck at all other sports.

sorry youre the only baseball player, Mike!

I play softball :)

I guess you missed the part where I just said I've been on Varsity Baseball since my freshman year -_-

Oh, yea I did. I just saw that he said he was like the only baseball player on CC or something.

Mike, you should be friends with jk_91. :)

Basketball .

Varsity Tennis.
