What the size of your largest class?

There are over 300 people in my drama class for next semester, and 225 people in my Greek civilization class.

I think the cap was 300 but usually 100 ish? Alot of people don't show up to classes. My smallest was like 8. (art studio)

Bio: 266 of 280 max
Chem: 223 of 250 max

About 40.
My school has about 5000 students, and I haven't taken any of the BIG lecture classes (like sciences) yet.

EDIT: Oh wait I lied! I had a class with about 150 people. It was an intro-to-the-major class. Since I'm no longer that major, I almost forgot about it.

over 450 ...so far.

256 is my largest class my 1st semester (actually 3 of my classes are this size)

My biggest class was 450 students, but not everyone showed up to each one. I only really got the idea of how big it was during exam days. I had about four others with 200+, and then another one with 100. Everything else was 50 or less. My smallest was 12. This was only my first year.
It's really not that bad in my opinion. I sometimes prefer the bigger class.

I know the largest lecture hall on campus seats 300, and I had intro to econ last semester and the room was full.

280ish, but about 90 of them dropped or something

So far, Elementary Arabic with 25 people. I had another class with 60 people, but I don't count it because it was an Amherst class and I attended Smith at the time.

24.

98% of classes are under 20, average is 12, lowest I had was 7.

'bout 125.

At orientation, the guy looked at my schedule and goes "Wow, that class is huge!"

Your guys are weak. Two semesters ago I had a class with 672 students and last semester I had one with ~ 550.

This semester, my largest is only 104. Then again I'm a junior...

Probably around 100.

The largest class I ever took had about 300 students... at a public university where classes of 1000 weren't uncommon. (These classes are split up into two lecture halls; one gets to see the actual professor, the other hall gets to watch the professor on a screen.)

I am lucky that I am now at a small college where my largest class had around 30 students. The largest class are introductory science/pre-med classes with up to 80 students.

My Intro to Kinesiology class had 130 students and only half ever showed up. Not sure exactly how many students were in my Intro to Psychology class, but I'm guessing around 200-250.

intro to psych..... around 1300 in one class

General Economics - 138
Attorney for the Damned- 15
Journalism 101 - 476
American Government - 499
Russian - 17

Weird. I got an email from the Russian professor saying she wanted to get people to drop out of our class because we have too many people, and she wanted more intimate learning. 17 is hardly any people, not sure how few she wanted!

Are the classes with huge numbers more difficult? Can someone just describe to me what a really large class is like, besides the fact that its obviously large. I might have one first semester that has 400 in it, and it really worries me.

Chem 101 has 400 students.
