Deferred & Out of State as well
Denied Out of State
My son was deferred too. And like you guys, we are out of state. With 85% of admitted kids being from Georgia, it is really hard for out of state kids and we knew that. His scores were high and he has high GPA, lots of AP classes. I think he is a little disappointed, but luckily he has been accepted at Alabama already and has been offered a great scholarship, honors acceptance, and admitted to engineering. Thank you Alabama!!! He has a few other acceptances too. He just came home and said ROLL TIDE!! Hope your kids are Ok and that it works out in the long run for everyone.
My daughter’s at soccer practice, and my stomach is in knots waiting to find out. In case she’s not accepted, I’ll be sure to let her know only 15% out of state applicants were accepted.
DS was accepted. In state.
