So I’m stuck. I get home at 5 at the earliest from track after school and the admissions office stops picking up the phone at like 4:30. My adcom said to call her assistant, leave my name and she’d call me back. Should I just not go to school one day or what?

what about in the morning?

stambliark, they're open from 9-5

school for me is from 7-5:30

e-mail? or is this just about calling?

don't you have a free period (or one you could make free wink) when you could call, say, on a cell?

even so, you could just mention in an e-mail that it's your only means of comm with them. may look good cuz you're keeping yourself busy

hmm i would call on a cell at lunch. i called regarding my decision and i left my name and phone # with their ass't, which is what they said they like to do b/c that way the regional officer can look at your app first.

i don't know if this is about your decision or not, but they pretty much gave me an "appointment" where she would call me on a given day at a given time. maybe she can call you while you're at lunch at school or something.

Call in between on your cell phone, thats what i did, I was at the bank when my rep called me

im going crazy here.... cell phones are not only banned at my school, but the reception inside the building sucks and I worry I'd miss her call. So if I call, the assisstant will tell me when I'll get a call back or should I expect a call back right away/soon after? Also, what if the assistant gives me a time when I'm in a class?

jhum, how long did you talk to your adcom?

you arrange the time. they won't give you a time that you're not available. but if you tell them you're not available from 9-5 i dunno.

15 minutes or so, I called straight through to mine and left a voicemail b/c she was on the phone, she called me back in less than 5 minutes, this was on friday. I was amazed at her responsiveness

ok, stambliark, did she arrange a date for you as well or just a time you could expect a call on any day?

thanks for all the help guys.

i think if we push through this, we can turn that defferal into an acceptance

no we arranged a date and time. If it's that tough maybe try email.
