What to do in Spring?

Hello, Thanks for reading.

I'm an older student with a few different stints at Community Colleges under my belt. I am completing my AA-T to go to a 4 year in San Diego. My AA degree will be complete by the end of Fall 2014- but California schools don't accept transfers for Spring/Winter terms. Basically I have all Spring Semester open. My College doesn't offer upper division courses and not many classes applying to my major apply to transfer (past AA-T requirements) according to Assist.org. I thought about starting a Minor, but the comparable classes are limited.
I'm reluctant to take the Spring Semester off- although I would save a little on loans (I'm already exceeding the amount I should be as a "2nd year" student) . Has anyone been in this situation? Any advise on what to do in the Spring between completion of my AA and Transferring to a 4 year school?
Thank you

Hey, i am in the same boat as you. I will finish up with my AA and 60 units by the end of this fall, but the csu i wanted to go to is only taking people who will have their units done by the summer. My transfer counselor said to apply anyway because you never know. There are a few CSU taking spring transfers, as long as you have them completed by the fall. I know fresno is one, but that is to far for me. You can see all this on csumentor. If i don’t get accepted, i’m just going to try to get more hours at work etc… Nothing you can really do.
