what to do now?

okay, so i have about 5 days b4 the PSAT. I noticed that a lot of my wrong CR questions were vocab. And i think if i get all vocab right, i might be pushing 70 which will definitely put me in nmsf range. So can you guys tell me which vocab list im better off studying for the next 5 days. I have PR hit parade, Rocket Review Core words, and barrons 3500 (ah!! no!). Any advice?

bump.... .?

take it easy..i think PR hit parade and Rocket Review is better than Barrons..don't stress yourself to memorize a whole list of words b/c then you'll end up forgetting most of them..and yes the key to CR sections is vocab...just review vocab words right now..

5 days is a little less fr making a substantial difference to ur score..

get 80 for M, 70+ for W~ u cnat do much about CR, 5 days isn't enough for vocabs ~ do some CR practice i guess

yea, not enough time to improve. =p

Memorize the definition of procrastination.

Woww!! Barron's 3500!!!!! I wish I could get a 2400, let alone a 3500!

Cramming right now probably isn't going to help, to be honest. Vocabulary is cultivated over a long period of time, not just a few days. And SAT vocabulary is selected from a huge pool.

If I were you, I would memorize the roots of words. It is your best strategy with only 5 days left.
Im also taking the PSAT on Wednesday. Good Luck =)

5 days is less than ideal. But if you practice diligently it's enough time.

It looks like the College Board has used the same pattern to choose its PSAT vocabulary for at least the last three years. Basically, the PSAT material seems to come from SATs that are 2 years old. If you want the SAT words from 2006 and a little more explanation, here's a link to my list.

Projected 2008 PSAT Word List: READ THIS

I'm not completely positive the College Board will follow the pattern again this year, but it makes sense that they probably would. Why change it up now? So that is what I would study if I wanted to study a list.

However I do think that relying on vocabulary is not the best way to get ready for the test. The best way is to work on test-specific skills. My web sites have free resources for that. Other sites do too. Find the approach that works best for you.

Good luck.

uh, but i took the free practice test.. and i had a lot of the vocab questions wrong.. if i could get em right.. i would probably qualify for nmsf.

what should you do?
keep rolling of course!

Lol. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

^^ huh??

haha good one.
