Hey everyone :)
I visited the university a few months ago, and absolutely loved it. It's gorgeous, everyone was friendly, and it was overall amazing.
I'm worried, though, that I might get bored on campus. I only saw one dining hall and campus isn't really in walking distance to a town or city.
If any current students or alum could evaluate, that'd be wonderful :)
Thanks!

There’s a lot on campus! There is one dining hall, which is amazing (and unlimited access) and contains ETC (a convenience store- has awesome milkshakes!) and the post office), but there are plenty of other food venues on campus that accept dining dollars (part of your meal plan). A lot of people hang out at the commons, which is in the center of campus above the lake. There is a room with video games and a foosball table and the campus bookstore. The commons also houses Tyler’s (fast food), Freshens (smoothies), and the Cellar (sit down pub style restaurant). The library contains 8:15, which is a coffee shop that is basically starbucks. My favorite food place is Passport Café, which is in the international center. They offer sushi, gelato, and lots of international food items, plus coffee and tea. Finally, there is Lou’s in the business school, which is primarily a sandwich shop.

As far as what to do on campus, there is always something to do. On the weekends, there are usually CA alternative events, which are substance free, and they have sponsored things such as a carnival night, cookie baking, open mic night, etc. There are also groups constantly performing, such as the Octaves and the other a capella groups, and Subject to Change (drama improv). There are hundreds of clubs to get involved in. The theater and music departments are always putting on performances, many of which are free. The Modlin center also has a concert hall and a full stage hall, where many performers come, many of which offer discounted or free tickets to students. Some for this year have included turtle island quartet, preservation hall jazz band, and Alonzo King Lines ballet.

There are shuttle buses which run to local malls, etc. as well as nearby Careytown, a fun locale with great restaurants and shops, and also to downtown Richmond. Many students also have cars and there is lots to do within a short drive.
