<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>I am an international student playing to apply to US Universities and Liberal Arts Colleges this year around.
I just have a few questions regarding the whole procedure and I would highly appreciate it if somebody can pitch in?</p>

<p>Firstly, I gave my Sat I in December this time around and I wasn't exactly feeling well so I probably get a 2050-2100.As an international student, who can contribute $25000 and is asking for around $35000 in the form of financial aid, where do you think I have shot of getting in?I plan on giving my SAT II in Jan 2013 but I'm really well prepared for them.Hoping for around 2300.My Sat II Subjects are Maths IIC, US History and Physics.</p>

<p>Secondly, My december isn't exactly out yet but if what do you guys think if I get in in the 2000 range? Should I give it again or should I go ahead with my Strong prep for Sat IIs</p>

<p>and Thirdly, I'm providing my stats so if anyone can help me decide where should I have a good chance of getting in with 2050 in Sat I and 2250-2300 in Sat II and whether I can get somehwere around $35000?</p>

GPA 4.0
Sat I(given in December): Probably around 2050
Sat II(giving in January,really well prepared):2250-2300
Appearing in the following AP's:
1. Environmental Science
2. Psychology
3. Calculus BC
4. English Literature and Composition
5. English Language and Composition
6. Statistics
7. U.S Government and Politics
8. Comparative Government and Politics
9. U.S History
10. European History
11. Macro Economics
12. Micro Economics</p>

<p>EC's:-
U 19 National Football Team
Really fond of MUNs. Won 10 lost 1 and also attended World Mun last year.
Done COmmunity Service as well.</p>

<p>Also, though I haven't attended college myself, I have researched a lot about getting into colleges in UK and I founded a college consultancy firm which has helped students admissions into UK. Don't know whether that will go in my favor or not.</p>

<p>Got amazing recommendations from my private tutors.
Nice essays. Got them checked from a Columbia graduate who really liked them.</p>

<p>A 4.0 if you are home-schooled is meaningless. Do you have scores from AP exams for those APs?</p>

<p>Agreed, we need AP scores or some other sort of verified score (SAT, ACT, etc.) before we can even try to guess.</p>

<p>Hey guys. Thanks for the reply. Didn’t know about the disadvantage of being home schooled.
Consider Sat I to be 2050 and Sat II as 2250.
I’m giving APs this year, all of them. Got dengue fever last time around so wasn’t able to appear in them :(</p>

<p>Personally I will not evaluate hypothetic scores and SAT IIs don’t get combined, they remain out of 800. Come back when you actually have scores (they are too many people who estimate there scores and find that they where not accurate). Your ECs are good, but you have no community service, leadership or work experience (the less is valued a little less then the other two) which will hurt you. If your scores end up being low you will be at a major disadvantage.</p>
