@JH8888 For LSA, yeah what you’re saying is true
“Ross Academic Services will process ALL classes that meet our transfer credit requirement but will cap the total credits toward the 120 minimum needed for graduation at 45. This means that as long as the courses are accepted by Ross, we will use all classes on your record that fulfill requirements such as distribution.”
I still don’t see AP credits can fulfill distribution. At least not clear. For example, can AP US history credits count toward social science distribution requirement? If possible, my son really hope to avoid taking any social science class.
I believe it depends. If it is general departmental credit like Econ, then no. I’m not sure if it will for other classes like AP Gov where I got 4 credits for Intro Poly Science. Once the Registrar’s Office transfers my credits to Ross in August, I’ll update you if it is counted as distribution for me.
Thank you very much!
Really? Not a 5 on AP Calc AB?
While you could call or e-mail Ross to confirm, I believe a 5 in Calc AB would give you the necessary calc credits. An AP score of 5 in AB gives you 4 Math 120 credits. The requirements are stated as follows:
“•Any course in Calculus I, II, or III . This includes AP credit for Math 120 or 121. It includes IB, A-level or transfer credit for an exact U-M course equivalent (not departmental credit, e.g., Math 101X).”
