What to expect for a transfer students visit to UA next month

Well I have finally set up my appointment to go visit UA in June with my Parents and two other people and would like to know what would be some things to expect out of the visit?

Hopefully I will have a chance to check out the Honors College, as well the CCHS College for pre-med students. Plus three different branches in the Arts and Science Colleges and their options. I am pretty excited and have already made out a list of questions to ask when I go view the apartments and the University. Also is it possible for me to get any information on Sororities and the Crimson Cabaret while I am at the information session in the morning. Also has anyone heard of a work program called “UA student-athlete tutor program”, it seems like something I would enjoy doing and am highly interested in.

Thanks for the time and Roll Tide!

What is the CCHS college for premeds? My son was premed (going to med school in Aug), and he wasn’t part of that.

Not sure what you mean by “three different branches” of Arts and Sciences.

You need to send an email to the Honors College and tell them what your situation is so they can arrange everything.

When will you be transferring? Are you instate or OOS?

In the email include:

Student’s name and contact info

Date and time of the Campus tour that you’ve reserved.

GPA and test scores (include NMSF status)

Likely majors*

Career interests (including med, law, etc)

Anything particular that you want to see. *If you have an interest in seeing the new Science and Engineering Complex, let them know.

Sometimes mail goes to their SPAM folders, so call them if you haven’t heard back within a few business days. These ladies do an excellent job and work very hard

Sororities: www.uapanhellenic.com. If you’re leaning more toward an NPHC sorority: [Greek Affairs](<a href=“Fraternity and Sorority Life”>Fraternity and Sorority Life)

Athletics tutor - that would be under the Center for Athletics Student Services in Bryant Hall. Go here: [ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE - University of Alabama Official Athletic Site - Athletics](http://www.rolltide.com/ot/cass.html)
