What to expect

Hey guys! I honestly have no idea as to how the SAT subject test system works, I was hoping you could explain, since I want to go knowing what to expect.
So, basically, I'm doing tests XYZ. I arrive at the test center and... what? They give me the specific booklets for those subjects? Are they even separate booklets? Or do we sit for different subjects at different times? Or do we get ALL the subject tests and we choose at the moment?

I THINK it's the last option, in which case... can I finish up X in 30 minutes so I can skip to Y and get an extra half hour? Meaning, can I switch between subjects?

I'd appreciate any answers or any comments and remarks regarding what to expect on the test day. I'm clueless and I want to go prepared-- I'm travelling to another country just to sit for the exam, so... yeah. My first and last chance. Scary. ;_;
Thanks!

Hey,

Ok so you get one big booklet with all of the tests in it. You can do any test you want to, in any order you want to. So if your taking math and chem. You can do math first, chem second, or chem first, math second; it doesn't matter. You could be doing one thing and the person in front of you could be doing a totally different test. You get one hour for each test. If you finish a test in 30 mins (highly unlikely) then you'll have to sit there and stair at the teacher for the next thirty mins until the hour is up. So no, you can switch between tests. Its like the SAT; if you're doing a math section and finish it you can't go on to the next section until time is called.

Whatever you do, don't try and cheat or something like that. It can get tempting because there's no real structure besides the time limit. The last time i took the test this kid was there to take lit and math. So he finished math fine, and when time was called for lit he wasn't done. So he stayed and acted like he was taking a third test, meanwhile he was just finishing lit. When we were done the teacher noticed only two tests were done and he stayed for three hours. I dunno what happened to the kid but he probably screwed his chances at college lol. So besides the fact that it's unethical, you'll get caught.

Hm... so if I can choose the order, then how do I go about it on the answer sheet?
And, and, I'm assuming from what you said that there are people there announcing when the hours are passing.

Haha, don't worry about my 'cheating', I was just wondering. Again, I'm not risking my chances on something like that. My parents would strangle me and leave me out to get bitten by rabid mosquitos. D:
thanks a lot for the answers

On the answer sheet there's a place to enter in the code of the test you are writing. Each page of the answer sheet is designed so that any of the subjects can be written (what I mean is, for example there's a particular type of chemistry question that uses a different type of "bubble set-up." All the answer pages will have a space for that type of question, so it doesn't matter whether you write chemistry 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.)

Enim, dont worry too much. The invigilator will provide you with detailed instructions and enough time to fulfill all these niceties.

Aww, thanks a lot then, guys~~!
