<p>I'm currently a sophomore and I just switched into engineering this year. Everytime I try to join professional societies or look into potential internships/engineering experience opportunities, I'm always asked to hand in a resume. I have absolutely no experience pertaining to engineering, so I feel like I'm at a high disadvantage. Most of my other friends have done internships, or were engineering majors since they were freshmen and have more on their records than I do. The only extracurriculars I was involved in freshman year was volunteering at a nursing home and tutoring some kids for extra cash. Any ideas?</p>
<p>Everybody starts out with no experience at one point. You can put your non-engineering experiences down though.</p>
