The truth
How about “I am interested in participating in the club” or if it’s true, “I am interested in learning more about X religion”?
You really don’t owe anyone a response but I’m sure other members are curious about what brought you to the club.
i’ll be honest I enjoy the social aspect mainly. As I said I am not very religious. I just wanna play it off you know?
Then be honest. “I was interested in the social aspects.” I can’t imagine anyone would judge you for an honest response.
i’ll be honest @Lindagaf I am just there for the social aspect. I noticed other clubs you are practically invisible unless you have been their for a long time. In religious clubs however, it is much easier to socialize. I don’t know why. but when asked why I am there I just want to be able to play it off you know?
“I’m just interested in meeting other people who share my interests.”
I enjoy Christian traditions like Christmas, Easter Mass, and wanted to learn more.
How about, “I enjoy the sense of community” ?
Who’s asking you?
Because I enjoy your company & I want to learn.
