So my trig pre-calc teacher never really taught the class, and my algebra II teacher before that had to leave for a month, and so we lost a lot of time to learn information.

I'm planning to take the SAT II math II some point before my senior year, so what should I use to prep myself considering I have almost no prior knowledge about the information that will appear on the math II?

What study guides cover the math II topics most thoroughly? Also, I know khanacademy has some trig pre-calc videos, so I will be watching those.

(Also, I'm going to be taking the AP calc BC exam next year. Would it be wise to take the math II AFTER I finish calc, or vice versa?)

Try a couple practice tests and you will have a good idea what’ll be on Math II. Basically, topics such as algebra, geometry, counting/combinatorics, probability, and some pre-calculus topics will be covered. Also, it helps to know modular arithmetic, even though it is not required. Any review book such as PR or Barron’s should cover all of those topics (except mods).

SAT Math II doesn’t require calculus, so the Calc BC test should be irrelevant.

I highly suggest Barron’s if you were to choose just one guide. The practice tests in that are WAY tougher than the actual test, but if you get close to 740-750 on those you’re almost guaranteed an 800 on the real test

To learn calc BC, you need a good foundation in trig and pre-calc. Since I’m taking AP Calc BC, I was hoping that I’d be able to use the trig and pre-calc I learn in that class to help me with the Math II.

I took one practice test and scored a 650. Is the Barron’s SAT II math 1999 okay? I don’t have a more recent version…

Yeah, I was getting mid / high 600s in Barron’s, but I still pulled off an 800 on the test. Don’t sweat it; Barron’s is much more difficult compared to the actual test.
