Now that CalSO is coming up in a few weeks, I was wondering what I should bring. I looked on the website but I couldn't find anything related. Where does it say what to take?

The email confirmation had info:

WHAT TO BRING
For the CalSO Program
*Your program confirmation.
*Any information sent to you from your College or School, any documents requested by the Financial Aid Office or any paperwork you have questions about.
*Your CalNet ID and passphrase (required to register for your classes at CalSO).
*View and fill out the "Before orientation" online forms, http://services.housing.berkeley.edu/NSS/Content/before.html
*Review the online Schedule of Classes, http://schedule.berkeley.edu.
*A General Catalog may be purchased at the program.
*Pen, pencil, and paper to take notes.
*A photo ID, such as a drivers license or state ID, is required if you wish to get your Cal 1 Card (i.e., your student photo ID).

For your comfort
*A backpack to carry your belongings (we're going to give you a lot of stuff!).
*Comfortable shoes (a must for the hilly campus terrain).
*A sweater or jacket (the weather in Berkeley is unpredictable). Check this link for weather information:
http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=berkeley+ca.

For the residence hall
*An alarm clock (the first day ends late and the second day begins early).
*Pajamas and a bathrobe (you will be sharing a room).
*Bedding and towels will be provided in the residence halls.

If you're driving
During your CalSO program you can park in the Ellsworth Parking Structure (between Channing and Haste at Ellsworth Street). If that lot is full, go to the Tang Center Parking Lot on Bancroft and Fulton (with entrances on Bancroft and Durant). A CalSO counselor will be stationed in the Ellsworth Parking Structure 7:30 to 8:50am to give you a parking pass good for the duration of the program.

However, if you have arranged for early arrival accommodations, you DO need to purchase a $7 permit from the parking structure ticket dispenser to cover the cost of parking for the day before your CalSO program. When you check in, you will receive a Conference Slip. Place it on your dashboard, in addition to the permit.

WHAT NOT TO BRING
Students please note: CalSO strictly adheres to a policy forbidding the use of alcohol and/or drugs during your visit. Failure to abide by this policy could result in being asked to leave the program and/or a referral to the Office of Student Judicial Affairs and/or the UC Berkeley Police Department.

MEALS
On the first day you will have a continental breakfast during check-in, a lunch on campus, and dinner in the Residence Halls. Hot breakfast in the Residence Halls is provided on the second day. Vegan and vegetarian alternatives are available during all CalSO meals.
