I'm reaching the end of my sophomore year and I'm not really close with my school counselor...I don't know what to talk to him about. He doesn't really seem to know much. I mean, it's not like I'm without problems...depression and anxiety issues, etc. But I'm not sure whether I want to show that side of me...he might think of me/look at me differently or something. I've tried telling other people about my (depression) issues but I always felt embarrassed afterward. How did you guys become close with your counselor?

Don’t worry too much about what your counselor will think of you. It’s part of their job to help students in whatever way they can. It may even be meetings with him that help you get closer to him since he will quickly learn more about you. No worries!
