What will you tell everyone once decisions come?

(Please note that some of these suggestions are not serious)
"I'm going to bs, bye"
"I'll miss you all, but I'm going to bs"
"I'm going to bs"
"goodbye for life"
"are you going to bs? cause i am"
"I didn't get in bs, did you?"
"Sorry you didn't get in, but I did"
"um...well...I'm not going to bs"
"haha, I'm smarter than you"

@assign: lol, hahaha, your idea beasts mine

@bamagirl: lol, I am thinking about all kinds off dumb things b/c I’m so nervous…what color sheets sheets should I get? How’s the heat/ac in bs? Can I buy my own notebooks? What classes should I take for each potential school?

paula, i know how you feel! i was looking on amazon for FLOOR LAMPS (randomest thing ever haha) for my dorm room…and thinking like how big the lamp had to be and if my roommate would be okay with it and bookmarking cool ones

…i swear i’ll get rejected or waitlisted. confucius says one who looks at floor lamps on amazon will get rejected from boarding school

sorry we have these confucius jokes going around at school right nowww

If confucius is correct, I shall not get in bs either because you got me intrested into floor lamps. If I do not get in, I shall hunt you down and file a lawsuit for sabotaging mmy chances by encouraging the viewing of floor lamps. If I do get in, I found a really cool one!!!

Haha I’m the same way. The other day I was thinking about what I would do on the plane ride over! I decided I would look at an old scrapbook and cry about leaving, and then a hot flight attendant would come sit next to me and and tell me everything would be okay. I know, I’m a freak.

It’s fun to fantasize about what you’ll do when you’re admitted. But it’s tough alternating between moments of excitement and dread. Still, nothing beats the arrival of the admission’s letter for thrills and spills. Unless you’re looking at the response online, tell Mom and Dad to let you open the mail. It is, after all, your first (or nearly first) step toward the independence you seek. And for many of you, it’s the first time that a “third party” will be making a judgment about you that affects your life. That can take some getting used to for many high achievers who are used to doors always opening, only to find out that nearly everyone applying is equally excellent and that the old adage of “not counting your chickens before they hatch” applies - even to the top 1%!!

I wish you all luck, but remind you that acceptance or rejection is NOT a referendum on who you are.

On March 11th at assign’s school…
Me: OMG! I’m going to Phillips Academy!
Friend: Fill in acapella what?
Me: Phillips Academy, it’s a private school in the US.
Friend: Hell yeah whatever. Have you heard that early this morning John Doe kissed Jane Does?
Me: Hmm…Do I know them?
/awkward moment/

yea like i think most people are going to think that my parents are forcing me to go to bs if i end up getting in and going. its kind of hard to say im going to a bs when most people in my school now would never want to go to bs and have to go to a certain school.

yeahh, that’s generally the stereotype. Someone came up to me and they were like “wait aren’t you going to that school for rich kids or something?”
