What to undergrad major in for physician assistant

I plan on becoming a physician assistant which I know requires graduate/master work. I'm just unsure about what to major in for undergraduate studies. I'm a junior in high school now so I have time but the sooner the better!

You can major in anything that interests you. Or you can do the typical route and major in Biology.
Personally, I might major in Sociology or Dietetics if I decide to be a PA. If you ever wanted to be an NP, you can major in Nursing

If you are pretty sure you want to be a PA, there are direct-entry 5 year programs. If your grades and test scores are pretty good, they will guarnantee you a spot in their grad program. It’s the easiest way to achieve your goal.

i’m actually planning on doing pre-physician assistant classes and i’m majoring in environmental science. i don’t know if it’ll work out but that’s my plan so far

I have considered becoming a PA and my school has as Health Sciences: Pre-Clinical major program that prepares you well for that. I would look for a major like this or something you’re really interested in.

You can major in whatever you want, as long as you have certain requisites finished.

I’d go with a double major in Sociology and Biology. The Sociology part is great for marketing yourself as someone that can interact well with a diverse population. Plus, it’s extremely interesting.
