I am interviewing with Scripps in October and I am not sure what to wear. I don't want to be overdressed but I don't want to be too casual

It’s better to be overdressed than underdressed. I’m a girl and I wore heels, black pants, a black and white top, and a purple blazer to all of my interviews. And yeah, I was pretty overdressed for most of them s my interviewers typically wore jeans and a sweatshirt. But I would rather it be the way it was than the other way around.

Consider the context as well. If the interviewer is a banker working at a big city bank where the interview will be, that may imply a different style of dress than if the interviewer is an athletic trainer or coach who wants to have the interview at a gym.

I am a man, but when I interviewed at Claremont McKenna in August, most of the women I saw were wearing either black pants, a nice shirt, and a blazer, or a classy and professional dress. Just keep it simple.
