What to write in letter for waitlisted students?

Hey i just got waitlisted and they want me to write back to their email. They didnt ask for an essay or anything but they want me to express my desire to come to the school. does anyone have experience with waitlists and how long email should be?

Not familiar with Chapman, but other schools. Did they ask just for a “Yes, Please keep me on the WL” message, or something longer, and letter-like?

If they let you write a letter, don’t think you need to write more than one page, 250 words, if that. Most schools want to hear that if you were accepted, you would definitely come. Can you say that, honestly? If you don’t need FA, say so. If you have great 3rd quarter grades they haven’t seen, put them in the letter and attach to the email, also. Anything new and big (awards, etc)? If not, don’t worry about it. Re-iterate briefly what you love about the school, why you would fit in, and what you would contribute to the community.

Keep it short and sincere.
