What to write the supplement on ? ANYONE THAT GOT IN ED/ ANYONE APPLYING PLEASE HELP

The supplement prompt reads : "Beyond your impressive academic credentials and extracurricular accomplishments, what else makes you unique and colorful?

We know that nobody fits neatly into 500 words or less, but you can provide us with some suggestion of the type of person you are. Anything goes! Inspire us, impress us or just make us laugh. Think of this optional opportunity as show and tell by proxy and with an attitude, but please restrict your submission to what will fit on one sheet of paper."

it's my top choice and I have no idea what to write about! Any help would be great, thanks!

FOR ANYONE READING THIS THAT GOT IN: what did you write your supplements on?

Maybe our Admit It! blogs on the subject will help

I wrote mine on my obsession with Jelly Belly jellybeans, and then I digressed and talked about how they relate to life. I took my Common App essay to talk about something more serious, while I was more quirky and original in the supplement. Write something original; think of something that sets you apart from everyone else (in a good way, of course).

Good luck!

We know someone who made a collage and mailed it in via USPS.

Other people we know:

wrote a poem

drew a picture

folded the paper into an origami bird

My D made a map.

My S wrote about backpacking - not all that original but it was not reflected anywhere else in his application and it has been a part of his life his whole life and will continue to be a part. So my suggestion is to find something that reflects on who you are but is not represented by any other part of your application.

Try to do something that’s creative, but not at the expense of saying something about yourself. Pick a weird hobby or interest and write an essay on why you love it. Just give some insight into how your mind works!
I felt that there was no where on my application where I got a chance to express how much I love W&M, but I didn’t want to write a “why I want to go to ___” essay. I put a spin on it and talked about my first ghost tour through Colonial Williamsburg when I was 8, and how everything has changed since then but I still get nervous when I walk past this one haunted house in Colonial Wiliamsburg.
If you pick something about yourself that’s a little offbeat, you won’t have to try to make it quirky and creative- it’ll just happen. Good luck!

Totally agree with the above about expressing yourself. I wrote a poem about how onerous applying to college is.
