<p>For the record, I just checked out my diploma. A B.S. with Honors, from Cornell University.</p>
<p>In really really really small font, down on the left, underneath the signature of my dean it says:</p>
<p>'Dean, School of Industrial and Labor Relations'</p>
<p>There is absolutely no mention of SUNY or New York State.</p>
<p>Why?</p>
<p>Because Cornell is a completely private university. The State of New York pays Cornell to pursue and teach academic disciplines in certain areas that it has a vested interested in</p>
<p>Whether or not I as a taxpayer should be supporting your education in the ILR school when you seem to have absolutely no interest in political economy or the employee employer relationship is a different question.</p>
