<p>Aside from UCLA and UC Berkley, what UC has the best Political Science Program, and Philosophy? Also, what UC's have International relation/ International Affairs or anything related to International Politics? :)</p>

<p>I think I may disagree with that. UCSD has a good Poli Sci major; however, it has an exceptional IR major, especially its emphasis with the Far East. But with straight political science, which is inevitably more theory based, UCLA tops UCSD in my opinion. </p>
<p>I base this opinion mostly on the breadth of academic output, and that influence of that output on policy and academia. That said, UCSD’s isn’t bad by any means but to categornize it as better than UCLA’s is incorrect in my opinion. But I’ll repeat that UCSD’s IR (or whatever it is that they call it) program is phenomenal. </p>
<p>But to answer the OP’s questions, UC Davis also has a very good Pol Sci major. Professor Maoz was incredibly influential in the formation of the Democratic Peace Theory. In my readings, I think it would be reasonable to call him the ‘founder’ of the theory, if you’re into those kinds of labelings. And while the Democratic Peace Theory has been used for ‘shady’ war ventures in recent years, I don’t think that necessarily discredits its import. I have friends majoring in POL at Stanford and Berkeley applying for Grad school to study under Maoz. So yes, he has my recommendation.</p>
