What universities are known to not give need base aid to out of state students?
-Thanks, this can really help eliminate universities off my list

Michigan State University ( In state resident)
University of Michigan ( In state resident)
University of Wisconsin- Madison
University of Minnesota- Twin Cities
Ohio State University- Columbus
University of Illinios- Urbana Champaign
Indiana University- Bloomington
University of Washington- Seattle
University of Maryland- College Park
Pennslyvania State University- State College
Purdue University- West Lafayette
University of Colorado- Boulder
University of Arizona- Tuscon
Arizona State University- Tempe
University of Texas- Austin
A&M Texas University- College station

Specifically speaking of this list, how are these universities with:

Scholarhips: Academic, Background etc...
Financial aid: Low income, loans etc....

Again all answers should be base on/ for out of state students, thanks.

( Could potentially cut my list in half)

All of these universities will give some need based aid… the federal money. Beyond that, you need to examine their financial track record.

Such as Penn State has a track record of meeting 61% of need. That’s nothing to write home about.

Michigan typically meets 90% of the need. That’s much better.

Most of those colleges (except for maybe umich) generally serve mostly the students of their state. I don’t think that they will give an out of state that much aid. In Illinois if u are not very low income, aid is kinda bad, the is coming from an instate student. I think you should look more into UVA and UNCH. And to be honest with you, I would not even be considering any of those out of state school if I was instate for Michigan!
